A magnificent return to Milwaukee for Misterwives

Returning for round two of this year, MisterWives revived Summerfest vibes in a crowded, near-capacity Turner Hall Ballroom.

Their July Summerfest performance only blocks away put MisterWives on the Milwaukee live music map. Although not headlining a few short months ago, they sure were worthy of it – cementing that with their highly attended return.

Bubbly, energy-ridden frontwoman Mandy Lee lead fans on a wild ride through MisterWives freshman album Our Own House featuring fan favorite hits “Reflections” and of course “Our Own House”.

MisterWives has forged a live show that is blast to be a part, mostly due to Mandy Lee’s endless dancing and riviting goosebump-inducing vocals. At times the recorded album seems to unfairly tame the extent of her vocal talent.

Starting off with “Best I Can Do,” MisterWives worked their way through their first and only album, giving Milwaukee the essentials, a stripped down up close sit down performance of “Coffins”, and even their take on Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” and The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face”.

Although a one album tour can feel short at times, MisterWives excels at stretching quality hard hitting songs into a fully satisfying and electrifying set.
