All That Remains melts the face off Summerfest

Destroying the Summerfest Rock Stage to conclude the first leg of Summerfest were metal rockers All That Remains. Having previously visited Milwaukee with Lacuna Coil, Motorhead, and Megadeth for Gigantour, All That Remains knew they were in for a crazy show on their return to Milwaukee for Summerfest.

Probably one of the hardest rocking bands that will visit Summerfest, All That Remains knew they had to leave a mark on the die-hard metal heads of Milwaukee. As lead singer Philip Labonte energetically tore through song after song belting out deep growls and piercing screams he made it very apparent they would be something to remember.

Boasting about sound check earlier that day Philip Labonte talked about how they interrupted the Beach Boys’ sound check, happening at the same time on the other end of the grounds in the Marcus Amphitheater. Apparently The Beach Boys heard their music and were less than enthused. “I’m not ripping on the Beach Boys because they have like 50 years of hits, but god damn!”

Fueling the loving crowd for the better part of two hours, All That Remains destroyed what was left of Milwaukee after they visited with Gigantour. Thumping double bass kicks and screaming guitars only added to the hardcore ambiance and left everyone in agreement that this will be the hardest rocking act of Summerfest.

Milwaukee always seems to give a warm welcome to anything rock, and almost anything music for that matter. There were crowds of all sorts supporting music at Summerfest on the Sunday of the first leg of Summerfest. All That Remains performed during the same timeslots as Brantley Gilbert, on the Harley Davidson Roadhouse stage, and Robyn in the Miller Lite Oasis. There was a lot of diversity throughout the crowds and music, which is something that keeps Summerfest at the top of the list when it comes to gigantic music festivals.

If you missed All That Remains at Summerfest check out their upcoming tour dates here. New album too!
