August Burns Red fires up The Rave
The beginning of fall has marked the end to all the exciting summer festivals and sweaty concerts in the Midwest area. Now we have to rely on indoor and tightly packed shows at historic venues downtown to tie us over until next year. This isn’t a bad thing though, as fall usually serves up some extremely exciting and unforgettable concerts in the Milwaukee and Chicago areas. 2012 has boasted some pretty large festivals and tour collaborations, but the coming together of rock super groups KISS and Mötley Crüe is one of the biggest yet. Marketed as simply “The Tour”, KISS and Mötley Crüe draw curiosity with just the tour name itself, not to mention their own household names. Meat Loaf turns back the clock in Milwaukee
Meat Loaf returned to Milwaukee stopping for a night on the “Mad Mad” World Tour at the historic downtown Riverside Theater. The hard rock musician, having sold more than 30 million copies of his smash hit Bat Out of Hell and spending over nine years on the charts, shook the foundations of downtown Milwaukee with his legendary vocals. All Knotted up in Somerset, Slipknot
Coming off an extensive run with Rockstar Energy’s Mayhem tour, Slipknot has had their hands full with performances this summer. That didn’t seem to be enough for them though. The first and hopefully annual Knotfest threw down for a two-date run in Council Bluffs and Somerset late this summer, wielding a barrage of hard hitting metal acts to compliment their jaw dropping late night performance.
