Rob Zombie performs for enthralled Milwaukee audience

Due to soon release a sixth and self-described “best album yet”, the intimidating and audacious industrial heavy metal staple Rob Zombie has fired up his Super Monster Sex Action tour to stir up some gleeing diehard fans.

The Rob Zombie/John 5 duo felt at home in Milwaukee, the Eagles Ballroom filled nearly to capacity. The venue has seen some history, Zombie definitely adding to that, however the ballroom felt a bit small under the circumstances.

Fans went wild as Rob Zombie fired back with “Teenage Nosferatu Pussy” and “Super-Charger Heaven” to light the show. Booing the opener for Zombie, it was made perfectly clear what they were waiting for. Flipping his dreads, towering over the packed ballroom, Rob Zombie’s banter rather entertaining, the crowd not missing a second.

Arena rock filled the air, but miscellaneous jam sessions filled with a little more groove changed things up a bit, though maybe not for longtime fans grown accustomed to Rob Zombie’s antics – his personalities mixing into a rather interesting performance not too sinister but just the right amount of abrasive.

“Living Dead Girl,” “Sick Bubblegum,” “Dragula,” they all made the cut with a handful of covers from White Zombie and others.

Easily one of the loudest crowds I have experience at the Eagles Ballroom, this go around blew Zombie’s 2014 Wisconsin Rock USA performance far out of the water. Chanting and cheering right back at Rob Zombie, they didn’t require much except for his eccentric attitude and intense live performance.
