Shinedown crushes The Eagles Ballroom on Avalanche Tour
Finally making its way to Milwaukee, the Avalanche tour featuring Shinedown, Adelitas Way, and Art of Dying, crushed the Eagles Ballroom with some high fidelity solid rock.
Having a reputation for bringing some heavy rock acts out on tour, Avalanche tour succeeded once again in showcasing one of the hottest rock bands in modern music. Though not as heavy toned as last year’s headliner, Stone Sour, Shinedown was equally as destructive as previous acts.
Recently releasing their fourth studio album, Amaryllis, Shinedown is no newbie when it comes to putting out great music and putting on an equally as exciting performance on the Milwaukee stop of Avalanche tour.
Art of Dying and Adelitas Way opened for Shinedown on the Avalanche tour. Both are good bands, but I wasn’t impressed by their performances on this tour with the exception of the Adelitas Way guitarist, Keith Wallen, who seemed to have all the energy the rest of the band didn’t have. Lighting for both openers was poor and really took a lot away from their musical performance.
As Shinedown took the stage, they unveiled a superior stage setup with an intense light show to go along with it. Cracking Milwaukee open right off the bat with “Sound of Madness” really fired fans up and got the energy flowing from the get go.
The powerful and melodic vocals of Brent Smith echoed throughout the ballroom with ease which was extremely impressive to say the least. The power coming out of his voice is just breathtaking and exactly what you hear on Shinedown’s recorded albums. No special effects here.
Shinedown was equally as impressed with Milwaukee as Milwaukee was with them. The massive Milwaukee crowd was very welcoming and showed their love for Shinedown throughout the night. Milwaukee always seems to set the bar on these kind of shows and leaves a lasting impression on the bands we all love.
Shorting no fan of a great time, Shinedown played a generous hour and a half of hits old and new for some of the best fans around.
