An intimate setting with no opener, Matisyahu and full band returned to the Pabst to lay down stripped back but full bodied takes on much of his discography. The toned down grooves were fresh and entertaining, contrasting Matisyahu’s other visits to Milwaukee to the Pabst Theater and other historic venues in town.

A well hidden gem in live music scene this week, This Will Destroy You and The Velvet Teen performed at Milwaukee’s Turner Hall Ballroom for nothing short of an awe-inspiring epic to a modest and mesmerized crowd.

John Mellencamp has made his rounds to Milwaukee on not so distant tours. The ‘Plain Spoken’ tour following the release of his 2014 Plain Spoken album returned to the Riverside Theater in a near-sold out show that felt nothing less than the rush of good feelings expected with Mellencamp’s timeless singles.

After much touring throughout Europe and many A-market cities in the United States, Glass Animals made a long awaited return to Milwaukee, WI. Bumped from the smaller Pabst Theater to the Riverside Theatre due to pent up demand, the English indietronic powerhouse felt the success before they even set foot in the Brew City.

Milwaukee loves their indie folk…and their PBR. Lord Huron was no exception to this rule and even as the city seems stuck inside hiding from the brisk weather, quite a few managed to venture out, offering their warmest welcome.
