Tech N9ne’s “Hostile Takeover”

Tech N9ne is charging through the U.S. with bleeding energy on his new tour ‘Hostile Takeover’. With hard hitting supporting acts including Machine Gun Kelly, you can’t go wrong with attending this tour. You’ll be in for a fast paced and unforgettable show filled with Tech’s signature musical and entertainment talent.

Rap shows these days have become a bit bland and boring. Certain artists like to cut off songs right in the middle or roll into new ones after a verse or two and only give their loving fans a weak hour of fun. Tech N9ne smashed this stereotype in the first few minutes of his set as he powered through full songs and extended versions of a few hits with no effort, at the top of  his game through his extended set surpassing midnight.

Exotic face paint and slick stage props added to his mysteriousness and put a little wow factor on the production side of his show. At one point during the night he explained that his costume, camo, guns, army helmets, and many other stage props were all “for the love of our [US] troops.”

Release after release Tech N9ne has show the world the diversity and evolution of his music. Incorporating hits old and new into his set on the ‘Hostile Takeover’ tour shows he loves coming up with new ideas and flows, without forgetting the early days that made him big.

Performing for one of the most responsive crowds I’ve seen at a show, there was no shortage of a warm welcome from his Milwaukee fans. When hits like “Worldwide Choppers” and “He’s a Mental Giant” came out, you’d have thought the surrounding neighborhood was at the show with you thanks to the massive chanting crowd. Earth shattering bass complimented Tech’s impeccable flow of lyrics and spontaneous and unexpected interjections into songs at the reaction from the loving crowd.

I’d have to admit I didn’t expect this high caliber of a show from Tech N9ne partially due to my lack of attending an good rap performance. I had a chance to sit down with Tech N9ne before his Milwaukee show and had an interesting conversation touching on new music to almost quitting. Check out the 20 minute interview for some laughs and stuff you didn’t know about Tech N9ne!
